Ordering and Delivery

How do I order a medical letter?

Simply choose the letter you need from our website, and complete the secure online form. Once reviewed by a doctor, your letter will be emailed to you as a verifiable PDF — usually within a few hours.

Most letters are issued the same day, typically within a few hours of submission. If your request requires clarification or additional evidence, we’ll contact you promptly.

You’ll receive your document as a digitally signed PDF, complete with the doctor’s name, GMC number, and a unique QR code for verification.

At this time, all Merlin Health documents are issued digitally by email. You can print your letter yourself if a hard copy is required.

Verification and Authenticity

How do organisations verify my letter?

Every letter issued by Merlin Health includes a unique QR code that links to our secure verification system, confirming the letter’s authenticity.

Yes. Any organisation can scan the QR code or contact us directly at info@merlinhealth.co.uk to confirm the authenticity of your document.

Each letter is personally reviewed and electronically signed by a licensed UK doctor. The doctor’s full name, GMC number, and digital signature appear on the document.

Data Protection and Privacy

How do you protect my data?

We comply fully with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. All uploaded documents and personal information are stored securely, encrypted in transit and at rest, and only accessible to the doctor reviewing your request.

Legal, Ethical, and Professional Standards

Are your letters compliant with UK medical standards?

Yes. Every letter is written by a GMC-registered doctor in accordance with UK medical ethics and documentation standards. We follow a strict internal code of practice to ensure integrity and accuracy in all reports.

We are an independent provider and not affiliated with the NHS. However, our services help reduce administrative burden on NHS GPs by handling documentation requests privately and efficiently.

No. Merlin Health complements, but does not replace, traditional medical care. You should still consult your GP or healthcare provider for diagnosis, treatment, or ongoing care.
